We had a wonderful stay here for my husband's 50th bday. The house had more than enough room for us, another couple, and a friend, and we easily could have added a few more people and still had plenty of space. Kai was a very responsive host and even helped us find some great restaurants for the weekend. As an introvert I was a little skeptical about meeting the host for check-in but it was super easy and nice to have some one show us the ins and outs of the house. The neighborhood is lovely and we felt very safe. The fireplaces kept everything nice and cozy even in January. I would highly recommend this place. I also appreciated the minimal checkout tasks - I hate when you have to pay hundreds of dollars in a cleaning fee and do half the work, and this was a super short and reasonable list (so short we even did a few extra things because it was that easy).

Gorgeous home in a great location. Host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Even went so far as to buy and bring us cream for morning coffee! Will definitely book this place again in the future if I need accommodations in the area.

If you’re looking for a space with family and comfort this is the place to be! The host met us on the property, To give us a tour and made me feel very comfortable. They are very easy going, smooth, and responsive hosts!

We had a lovely stay at Maison Blanc Noir. The attention to detail in the interior design really stood out - our group appreciated the pops of color and would have welcomed even more! The rooms were spacious with incredibly comfy beds! Also, the hospitality was exceptional and we felt very well taken care of during our stay. This home is in a safe and walkable neighborhood which made exploring easy and enjoyable. We experienced an issue with the refrigerator water filter which the host promised to take care of as soon as we made them aware. In conclusion, this home was absolutely perfect for our staff retreat. The home, the huge yard, the neighborhood and overall vibe made our stay quite enjoyable.

The place was as advertised - spacious and inviting. We had a family of six - three generations - in town to watch our son run the Chicago Marathon. It was what we needed. Kai and his co-hosts were quite responsive when we had questions. The nearest transit station was a short walk. All in all, a great stay!

Staying at Kai’s place was spectacular. My family arrived early and we were accommodated to check-in right away. Communication was superb and proactive. Jaiva was there to check us in, give us a helpful walk through and great recommendations for food and shopping. Close to the city but in a quiet neighborhood that made us feel really safe. There was so much room available that my family was able to be together but have our own spaces to hangout in. The weather was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the great outdoor spaces. My partner who is a harsh critic on everything even really loved the space and the house decor. He several times complimented how the owners had really maximized the space with the unique angles of the Victorian house. There was plenty of towels, and cleaning supplies. I highly recommend. We had a car but found it easy to Lyft to the downtown, a short ride away. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend is because my family will want to book it again!

Had a great stay! I really enjoyed this spot. Very responsive and friendly host. They were very accommodating and made us feel right at home. The apartment was clean and matched the photos. I would stay here again. Beds were very comfortable!

we came down for my birthday weekend. kai and her team were really understanding and friendly. we all enjoyed our stay and felt comfortable and right at home. i hope to be able to book with them again soon!

I booked this home for my mother's 70th surprise birthday party where we had friends and family traveling from multiple states. As I live a few states away, I had to go on the listing photos and prior reviews. I was NOT disappointed in the least. This home is beautiful in every way and all the guests continued to comment at how awesome the home was decorated and the multiple spaces to entertain.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful, incredibly responsive and so kind. I would absolutely recommend this property and would book here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making this a wonderful memory for all of us!

Kai was extremely responsive and amazingly helpful throughout the entire visit. We only stayed for a weekend but she provided 5 star service the entire time. There are some steep steps down into the airbnb room but nothing too difficult. The airbnb felt safe and spacious. Our group of 5 had an easy time staying here especially with the 2 bathrooms. Since we were here for a bachelorette, there was plenty of space for the games and fun activities. Highly recommend this place for a quiet and comfortable stay with a larger group!

The space was ideal for a group trip!

Honestly don’t even feel like the photos do it justice. The space was clean, super cute, and hospitable. I loved the small touches like the keurig and extra toothbrushes in the bathrooms. They had materials to BBQ as well (we didn’t get a chance to.)

We also didn’t get a chance to walk to the beach, but it was walking distance from the house! Also loved that there were stores walking distance from the house as well, making things extremely convenient.

I would say if you are into more of exploring downtown, to get a rental car. Ubering everyday from this location would hit your pockets — but that’s nothing on the hosts, just a personal suggestion for anyone renting the home and wanting to explore.

Overall great experience, would rent again in a heartbeat.

This house is a gem! More beautiful than the pictures, this sunny, elegant, chic, clean, spacious and very comfortable home is located in a lovely historic neighborhood close to Whole Foods, coffee shops and the highway. The house has a finished basement, plenty of bedrooms, a nice yard and a beautiful open living/ dining room/ kitchen area on the first floor. Kai is very, very attentive: she answered all of our questions immediately and made sure to stay in touch throughout our time there. We had a terrific stay during our large family’s reunion for our son’s graduation from UChicago, which is about 20 minutes away. Highly recommend this house and we hope to be back when we visit.
